CCTV’s “Morning News” special report UMGG: high-end artificial stone put into production, write a new chapter of industry 4.0
On November 16th, CCTV’s “Morning News” column gave high recognition and report on UMGG’s positive industrial transformation, promotion of industrial upgrading, implementation of Industry 4.0, and growth against the trend in the face of the downturn of the market environment, and more than 20 mainstream media, such as the People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, etc., also paid attention to this matter and reported it.
Amidst the widespread lamentation of overcapacity in the domestic building materials industry, Global Stone, which has been listed for less than half a year, has decided to take the opposite approach: it has introduced the fully automated CEMSTONE artificial stone production line from the Italian company Breton, and this production line has been officially put into operation since early November. This time, CCTV reporters also came here out of admiration to take a look at the big move in the stone industry!
* Marble Chu, the chairman of UMGG of the board was interviewed by a CCTV reporter
* Many well-known domestic media outlets came to UMGG for interviews and reports
UMGG has joined hands with Bailitong to enter the high-end artificial stone market
Introduce the first fully automatic artificial stone production line in the country
The CEMSTONE artificial stone production line is a fully automated production equipment owned by Bailitong, the global leader in stone equipment. In the past, China’s medium and high-end artificial stone was basically dependent on imports, and these imported stones were mostly produced by the Bailitong production line. This time, by joining hands with Global Stone, Bailitong has directly set up its fully automatic artificial stone production line in Dongguan, China, which will revolutionize the cost mechanism of products in the industry.

The production capacity of the entire production line reaches 600,000 square meters, which is 3 to 5 times that of similar production lines. The comprehensive power consumption of this production line is approximately 12 kilowatts per square meter per hour, and the comprehensive energy consumption is 20% of that of the production of the same amount of tiles.
Compared with traditional artificial stone products, the products produced by the CEMSTONE artificial stone production line feature low water absorption, high kinetic resistance, high bending resistance, and high wear resistance. At the same time, they also have properties such as UV resistance, high-temperature resistance, and fire resistance. The on-site technicians also introduced, “In the past, the artificial stone produced in our country could only replace ceramics and natural stones in the low-end market of indoor home decoration. However, this new type of material can break through various problems such as high labor pressure, resource waste and low quality in the stone manufacturing industry in the past.”
Introduce foreign production lines
UMGG hopes to break its reliance on imports
The fully automatic artificial stone production line introduced by UMGG is also the first of its kind in China, marking the official entry of the international CEMSTONE artificial stone production line into the Chinese market and is expected to break the reliance on imported artificial stone.
* MGG has introduced the CEMSTONE production line from Dongguan, China
Marble Chu, the chairman of UMGG, the chairman of Global Stone, the introduction of the CEMSTONE production line by Global this time is just the first step for Global Stone from nothing to something. According to the plan, a total of three production lines will be introduced in the next five years. At present, the output of the first production line has been basically reserved, and the production line will continue to expand in the future.
InMarble Chu’s view, the more significant meaning of introducing the CEMSTONE production line lies in filling the market gap of the lack of high-end artificial stone in the domestic market. Only by breaking the reliance on imports can we promote the product substitution and industrial upgrading of the domestic stone industry. He also said, “The new artificial stone uses brand-new bonding materials and can fully meet the domestic fire protection A1 standard. In the future, it will be used as building materials for large public facilities such as domestic airports, high-speed railways and stations.”
The stone industry in China is in a slump
UMGG has risen against the trend
In the context of a sluggish market, the commissioning of the Global artificial stone project, the introduction of international high-end and advanced equipment, the promotion of industrial upgrading, and the enhancement of industrialization technology levels have drawn the attention of over 20 mainstream media outlets including People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, and CCTV. They have given high recognition and evaluation to the practices of the Global Group in industrial upgrading and transformation. It is believed that the commissioning of the Global Artificial stone project will change the situation where China’s medium and high-end artificial stone relies on imports from Europe.
* Global Stone Fully automated production equipment
As a producer, exporter and consumer of stone, China’s stone industry is entering a new stage of development. UMGG entered the high-end artificial stone field from the processing of natural stone. In response, Zhu Xinsheng stated that although the overall building materials industry is sluggish and growth has slowed down, the artificial stone produced by CEMSTONE’s Dongguan production line will fill the market gap of high-end artificial stone in the domestic market.
Marble also disclosed that, in comparison with an Israeli stone competition company, it can be seen that as of last year, the company had introduced a total of five Pelitong production lines, and its net profits for the previous year and last year were 65 million and 80 million US dollars respectively. The production cost of our company is lower than that of Israel. If we sell at the same market price, the profit can be higher.
According to UMGG’s plan, the newly produced medium and high-end artificial stone will not only be applied in large-scale construction projects, but also be reused in small pieces, scraps and other materials for home decoration. For this reason, an O2O e-commerce platform that directly faces end consumers is under construction.
