On Hong Kong’s return to China in 1997, and we, consigned by the Central Government, to manufacture the “Circumference of China” pedestal named as “Chinese Bauhinia Blakeana Blooms Forever”.
The 3.5m high Bauhinia Blakeana is about to blossom out, it is magnificent and elegant. It shines in gold and symbolizes the vigorous spirit of Hong Kong.
The vermilion “Circumference of China” pedestal is mighty, just as the new Hong Kong who is going to strive further with the backing of the motherland.
On July 1st 1997, the magnificent Bauhinia Blakeana shined at the Victoria Harbor of Hong Kong. The 6m-high sculpture was a gift from the Central Government for Hong Kong SAR. “Blooms Forever” testified the great moment of Hong Kong’s return, and carried nation’s expectation. UMGG had opened a new page for Hong Kong with its excellent technology.
