20 years since Hong Kong’s return | The ever-blooming Bauhinia flowers carry the best wishes

As the resounding national anthem of the People’s Republic of China played, the Five-starred Red Flag and the Bauhinia Red Flag rose slowly. After 156 years of vicissitudes, Hong Kong returned to the long-lost embrace of the motherland in the tearful gaze of hundreds of millions of Chinese people.

The handover ceremony of the Hong Kong government was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre by the seaside in Wan Chai. In front of the new wing of the Convention and Exhibition Centre, on the Golden Bauhinia Square, there is a sculpture of a budding Bauhinia flower. It is a special national gift presented by the Central People’s Government to celebrate the return of Hong Kong – the “Forever Blooming Bauhinia Flower”. The base that sets off this national-level “Bauhinia flower” was crafted by UMGG.

Before Hong Kong’s official return to the motherland, UMGG was entrusted by the central government to build the base of the national treasure gift from the motherland to Hong Kong – the “Ever-blooming Bauthorn Flower”. This task made the people of Global feel extremely excited, honored and proud. The “return of Hong Kong” has touched the hearts of people across the country. UMGG’s production of the Bauhinia flower base is like preparing a gift on behalf of the entire nation to welcome Hong Kong back into the embrace of the motherland.
